Well, he may not be drunk, but he's definitely having trouble keeping his balance and gesticulating way more than is necessary or even normal, and Steve takes that as a sign that they should take their leave from the reception and head further down the beach for the surprise he has planned. He'd snuck ahead earlier in the day to put the finishing touches on Danny's old hut, hoping to turn it into something resembling a honeymoon getaway - since technically, they can't go anywhere - and it's that direction he leads Danny in now, gently taking hold of his hand as they walk.
He stops Danny as they approach the front door, resting a hand against his chest before sliding it up to his shoulder and then cupping his cheek, glancing down at him with a smile.
"Wait here. I want to do something before we head in."
